Been working on a new design project and have been swimming in tons of Wes Anderson’s work as a result. I can’t get enough of it! I think my recent engagement session with Hanniel and Chris was what inspired me even more than ever. I love Wes Anderson’s compositions, color and overall aesthetic. Thought I’d share a mash up of images highlighting just some of the hundreds of stills that I’ve been sorting through. Enjoy and happy weekend!!

Yaxi & Kai // Carmel Wedding Photographer

Yaxi and Kai got married in gorgeous Carmel Valley, surrounded by some of the sweetest family and friends. I had to hold back tears during their ceremony as they read their hand written vows to each other…the most genuine and heartfelt words ever. Its impossible not to fall in love with these two, I’m so blessed to know them and so thankful to share the day with them! Congrats Yaxi and Kai!!

In The Light // Mister & Mississippi

Over the past few weeks I’ve been posting highlights from our spring Europe trip, Liverpool, Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague and next week I get to share highlights from Switzerland! So in honor of our European adventures, I thought it would be fitting to feature a band based out of Holland for this month’s In The Light feature. I met Samgar in Amsterdam and he introduced us to his band, Mister & Mississippi, a very inspiring sound to say the least. All four of them live in a house together in Utrecht, eat, sleep and live their music. They were recently signed to V2 records and hope to travel all over the world and spread their dynamic, ambient sound. Their inspiration? Fleet Foxes, Sigur Ros and Bon Iver. Check them out!

Europe 04 // Prague, Czech Republic

The 2nd leg of our trip began with a train ride from Berlin to Prague, showcasing some of the most gorgeous landscapes we have ever seen! It was such a nice break, a restful, private oasis where we just vegged out, ate some ridiculously good food, stayed in and watched movies and did some exploring, walking through all the cobblestone streets and alleyways. Honestly, Prague feels like a medieval world where you just expect to see a knight on his horse at any given moment. We kept saying, “this place is fake”…it felt like a movie set. It was so beautiful and the architecture was unlike anywhere else we visited on this trip. We stayed at The Golden Well Hotel, located at the foot of Prague’s largest castle, a renovated space that used to be the house where the king would house his many wives. We were treated like kings from gourmet breakfasts to our very own driver. The top floor of our hotel opened up to a private garden that we shared with the castle above…
I can’t say enough about this place. It was magical.
