I got the chance to photograph this drop dead gorgeous outdoor feature for Lonny, collaborating with the talented Caitlin Flemming of Sacramento Street. I loved watching her do her design magic as she created this outdoor space making me look forward to the day I can decorate my very own backyard. Head on over to Lonny to read her tips and inspiration behind it all.

Im so grateful for the year Ive had. 2015 truly has been a whirlwind at times but looking back, its been such a life changing year. I’ll be sharing more of a personal post later with updates on our growing family too. There’s so much cuteness to share! In the meantime, you can follow me on Instagram for the day to day updates! While I begin to look ahead, 2016 feels good…parts of it unknown and mysterious and other parts steady and strong. Im excited to meet and work with some great couples who will say ‘i do’ and start this crazy life journey together. Im blessed to document such an epic day. Arash and I shared our 7th wedding anniversary together in August and I still strongly believe that life is so much better together. Cheers to the journey ahead! Its always such a thrill for me to shoot interiors, especially when there are super fun details like this fab new rug for Lulu & Georgia, designed by Glitter Guide’s Taylor Sterling. Honored that Lonny (such a fave!) featured the “Elodie Rug” and ran my image on their site. This rug has been a huge hit over at Lulu & Georgia — if you want to snag one, better act fast, its been selling out and was recently re-stocked. You can order yours here. We have one in our dining room now and we love it! See below for more product details.

I had the complete honor to sync up with Shamina, a local vocal artist who debuted her self titled album in 2014. We teamed up for a series of shoots starting with the cover for her single which was so much fun to dream up with her! We wanted to capture something playful yet refined, capturing her heart for the song. For this shoot we were able to explore and play outside and it was gorgeous out…I loved the simple styling too. Simple black dress and some cute floral crowns will do the trick! Cant wait to share her full album shoot real soon!
Once in a while I get to photograph expectant mommas and I find it so special to document such a beautiful season in a woman’s life. Having been pregnant myself at one point, I know how incredible the process can be and the joy and anticipation that grows as the months roll by is indescribable! Shannon is a gorgeous momma inside and out and it was such an honor to photograph her and Michael. They are NYC natives but absolutely love the Northern Cali sun so we ventured off into the beautiful beaches of Monterey to capture a little bit of sand and a whole lot of light! There were so many favorites from this shoot but I’ll only post a few since you can see more of my favorites on 100 Layercakelet today!
As wedding season begins we all know that paper products are a key player when it comes to every wedding. I absolutely love graphic design and can really appreciate a great card when I see one. It wasn’t too long ago that I was designing cards myself and its definitely so much fun to get to spend the day with some pretty talented women in the industry over lunch in honor of Wedding Paper Divas. They have introduced a whole new line of cards and have collaborated with some great designers like Claire Pettibone and BHLDN, too. From save the dates and invites to menus, programs and thank you cards – they have got you covered! We had the pleasure of hearing the super talented Jillian Clark share about the blog world and how she started the infamous 100 Layer Cake. It was quite a full afternoon with some gorgeous decor and florals that brought the entire space to life…wouldn’t you agree? Its almost as if the entire space was in bloom.

Getting to play dress up is one of the perks of the holidays…and the best excuse to throw a party, right? This gorgeous set up was designed by Tori and Myka and featured a long list of talented women, each bringing a unique element to the table. From the linens to the jewelry, everything came together so beautifully. I absolutely love collaborating with other talented artists who I can be inspired by as well (see all links at the bottom of the post). The shoot was held at none other than Margaret Elizabeth’s gorgeous SF studio which houses some of the most unique jewelry I’ve seen in a while. Check out those bangles — I wear mine all the time!! You can read more about the shoot and see more photos on Glitter Guide.
