Irene & Brian // Sausalito Wedding Photographer

Irene and Brian have such a child like love for one another, the joy they possess in their eyes says it all. Their engagement session was recently featured on Style Me Pretty, check it out if you haven’t seen it. Their wedding was a perfect extension of the engagement session, with cute hearts and paper floral accents. There was so much joy overflowing from everyone all day — I absolutely loved shooting their wedding and spending the day with their sweet friends and family.

Isabelle & Asrar // Destination Wedding, Lyon, France

One thing we absolutely love to do is travel and this season we traveled all over the world, with France being one stop on the map. We spent some time in Lyon, the second largest city in France next to Paris. It was one of the most charming cities we visited this year –walking the streets after sunset, sipping on rose and exploring the old city — so magical. In France its very common for a bride and groom to get married at City Hall first then throw a much bigger reception afterwards and that’s just what Isabelle and Asrar did…City Hall one day and a big Persian-French style wedding the next. It was quite the unique experience! Isabelle and Asrar showed us the best of the old part of Lyon where we had the chance to follow the cobble stone roads to tons of historic buildings with secret passageways at every turn; the very roads where they fell in love and their story began. The big day was hosted at a gorgeous mansion about an hour north of the city, with a tall tree lined road leading up to the house, a massive lawn leading up to the front door and ivy covered backyard, perfect for an outdoor wedding. Weddings in France are so different than the US…food is the main attraction, socializing and mingling is at the core of it all and with a 3 hour cocktail hour, I learned pretty quickly just how the French do it. Isabelle and Asrar shared so much of the French culture with us, it was a dream to photograph and can’t wait to go back again.

A little sneak /// Anna & Tim’s Costnoa Wedding

This one made me smile — I just had to share it. Anna and Tim’s wedding was a beautiful day on the coast — filled with creativity and beauty — another great collaboration with my girls Megan and Emily of Enjoy Events Co. I can’t wait to share the full wedding! I’m so thankful for the summer we had, shooting at some of the most beautiful venues and sharing our weekends with some equally beautiful and sweet couples. I have been swimming in endless amounts of gorgeousity (yes, I created that word) — so many wedding images, I can’t wait to share them. Hope you are all having a wonderful week, cheers!

Chris & Hanniel // Maui, Hawaii Wedding Photographer

Well this one may be a longer post but so completely worth it. Over the summer, Arash and I did quite a bit of traveling, a few destination weddings were on the calendar and this one being the most near and dear to my heart. Why? Because the bride is not only my oldest friend (we’ve been friends since we were 5 and 6 years old!) but Chris and Hanniel have an insanely beautiful love. If you haven’t seen their engagement session featured on 100 Layer Cake or read about their story then you must. Their love is one of a kind, and with everything these two have already been through together, watching them finally get to celebrate their long awaited wedding day was probably the highlight of my year. And to top it all off? A backdrop like Maui could not have been more perfect! We all ventured out to Ioa Valley State Park for a bit of a guerilla style ceremony in the jungles of what felt like a scene out of a movie. Tall trees, tons of lush greenery all around and a view that was unreal. After the ceremony, we explored and discovered large valleys of sugar cane that we couldn’t resist but shoot in, and I’m so glad we did. From there, we ventured to the beach for a tasty and very cutely designed boxed lunch for all — from gingham napkins to yummy pie. For the reception, we all met up again at a local spot in town where the celebrating continued. All the graphics from the welcome bags to the “just maui’d” sign, were all done by Chris himself…how talented is he? All the decor and coordination of the wedding was done by none other than Rebekah and Alex of A&B Creative who I just love collaborating with whenever we can. The trip was such a great time and what better reason to head to hawaii than to celebrate these two? Cheers!

Kathy & Gilbert // Foreign Cinema, San Francisco Wedding

Gotta love San Francisco with its endless amount of modern flair. Kathy and Gilbert embody the SF style and their wedding did not disappoint. The ceremony was held in the center of The Palace of Fine Art as on lookers and tourists watched from a distance. The Foreign Cinema could not have been a more perfect location for the reception since Kathy and Gilbert are the biggest film buffs. The start of their relationship was centered around films, attending every film festival together. You have to watch their engagement film at the end of this post. They created it just for their wedding reception and projected it on the wall at the Foreign Cinema during dinner. It was a huge hit to say the least and such a perfect way to bring it all together.

Sarah & Joshua // The Old Homestead, Crockett

Two artistic souls, passionately in love and full of life. The love Sarah and Joshua have for each other is evident, and the passion for adventure is contagious. They are an inspiration with such spontaneous perspective on life and love. Their backyard wedding was set at the Old Homestead, where they celebrated with a small intimate group of great friends and family. Exploring the rolling hills, venturing into the woods and dancing under lights, it was such a beautiful day to say the least. As their day came to a close, they packed up their bags and met their next great adventure: a big move to hawaii for what promises to be an epic start to a sweet sweet love story.

Kasia & Patryk // The Winery SF, San Francisco Wedding Photography

Kasia and Patryk held one of the most entertaining and life filled weddings. If you remember their engagement session, their love story began as a long distance one, and the wedding brought family together from all over. Tons of family, tons of dancing, lots of love and so much joy! Its so interesting to document and take part of a wedding filled with so much culture. Its pretty amazing to see — they are so blessed to have so much love around them. The backdrop for the day could not have been more perfect either, and all the little elements from florals to the wooden table numbers and centerpieces were drool worthy. Kasia did a beautiful job bringing her vision to life and they partied all night long.

Aubrey & Matthew // Holman Ranch, Carmel Wedding Photographer

It was so great to see Aubrey and Matthew again, after their engagement session last year, I was super excited to shoot their wedding in gorgeous Carmel Valley. Once again, teaming up with the ever so talented, Simone from Soiree By Simone Lennon, all the pieces came together to bring Aubrey and Matthew’s ranch wedding to life. It felt like a scene out of a classic film, like a subtle nod to the Great Gatsby. Such simplicity mixed with an enormous amount of charm and character — it was such a special wedding to say the least. Matthew’s great big smile as he would gaze at Aubrey throughout the day, spoke volumes about the love and genuine adoration that was overflowing. The two as a pair are so sweet, best friends in love, celebrating with some of their nearest and dearest.

Lindsay & Russell // Napa Wedding Photographer

Lindsay and Russell tied the knot in napa wine country surrounded by gorgeous greenery and terra cotta hues. It was a warm summer night with beautiful light and sophisticated flair. Lindsay is a stunning girl with such elegance and charm. Russell is so sweet and genuine and his love for Lindsay is undeniable. Ah, the beauty of true simplicity.

Jennifer & Jay // Sam Ramon Wedding Photographer

Ahh Jennifer and Jay…oh how they love each other so much, its so sweet to see. Every last detail of their wedding was dreamt up and/or created by Jennifer and Jay — such DIY geniuses too! Handmade boutonnieres, twine wrapped initials, ombre dessert table backdrop, succulent centerpieces, table numbers, coloring books for the kids featuring cartoon versions of themselves, and how awesome is the heart shaped folded book art? Such a fun wedding to be a part of and photograph!
