Martha Stewart Weddings Cover & Feature, November Special Issue

delbarrmoradiphotography_martha stewart weddings_0003This is a special day, today marks a milestone, a goal reached, a dream manifested…my heart is overflowing with gratitude to the people who have taught me, encouraged me and have worked along side me over these last 5 years. Words can’t describe how excited I feel to not only see Anna & Tim’s wedding featured inside the November Special Issue of Martha Stewart Weddings but to also see my photograph on the cover!? It truly is a happy day…I’m still pinching myself over here. Five years ago, when I decided to photograph weddings, I had written down my goals for what I wanted to achieve as a photographer in the wedding industry. At the top of my list was to get published in Martha Stewart Weddings, a goal that at the time seemed so so far away. Now, to see this day arrive is the most affirming feeling I’ve had yet. You will probably see me smiling from ear to ear for a long time! I truly love what I do and feel so blessed to be able to do it for a living; I’ve found what makes me come alive. This business has been a labor of love, one of true passion, jumping in head first years ago and learning so much about running my own creative business from scratch — and never giving up. This feature, to me, means so much more than a cover of a magazine. It represents dedication perseverance and more importantly, it represents all the talent that I’ve been blessed to work with including the ever so talented Enjoy Events Co and Shotgun Floral who is featured here in the mag too. To me this feature represents every single couple who trusted me artistcally and allowed me to share their day with them. It represents the vendors and teachers in the industry who I have worked with and learned from, pushing me and inspiring me creatively every time. And most importantly, it represents the unending support from my husband and family and friends who have encouraged me with unconditional support. It felt like just yesterday when I decided to leave my graphic design job in SF to pursue this crazy photography dream. For any dreamer, for any risk taker, or any creative business owner pursuing what they are passionate about, I say never give up and just keep your head down and work at what you love. You’ll be rewarded in so many inexplicable ways and just maybe, you’ll reach those bigger-than-ever milestones before you know it! Cheers all around!

Featured! Style Me Pretty // Ben & Nicole, Bay Area Wedding Photographer, Dawn Ranch

This was a summer wedding at its finest. Nicole and Ben wanted to bring their families from near and far, together for a weekend full of festivities. The way she first described it was “a summer camp feel” and Dawn Ranch was the perfect venue for this wedding. It totally reminded me of the summer setting in Dirty Dancing! With its adorable little cabins and wide open space for the ceremony and reception — the ranch welcomed their families with open arms. Nicole and Ben spent the whole weekend celebrating the wedding, with all its gorgeous flair. How dreamy did Nicole look? I loved her dress! The florals were probably one of the most gorgeous I have seen, done by the ever so talented La Fleuriste. It felt like we were on a vacation somewhere hidden away, far from all civilization, celebrating their love, under the stars. A big thank you to Style Me Pretty for featuring some of their highlights as well!

RUE Daily // Michele Janezic of Mill Mercantile

A few months ago, I had the pleasure of photographing Michele Janezic of Mill Mercantile, in San Francisco. You can check out more photos and read her interview on RUE Daily. If you find yourself in the city, be sure to check out Mill. Super cute stuff! I bought a handmade doll for the baby and I am in love with it! They have such unique little things.

Featured! Style Me Pretty // Victoria & Joe, Bay Area Wedding Photographer, Fairmont Hotel Penthouse

Joe and Victoria’s wedding story is featured on Style Me Pretty today which is super exciting! I absolutely love photographing intimate weddings especially weddings with a backdrop like the Fairmont SF Penthouse. You can read more about Victoria’s inspiration here but I can safely say working with these two was a dream. Vicotria is a blogger, check out her daily inspiration on vmac+cheese — so fun! We instantly hit it off, from fashion to photography, I love it when my clients bring their sense of style and unique flair to their weddings and their personalities shine through. This wedding was full of unique elements, a high class cocktail party in the heart of the city. And working with an incredible team of vendors like Natalie Bowen and Amy Kaneko…double win!

Featured! Style Me Pretty // Lily & Blake, Carmel Wedding Photographer, Holman Ranch

I am so so happy to finally get to share Lily and Blake’s Holman Ranch wedding! Thank you Style Me Pretty for featuring this collaborative beauty of a wedding. Lily and Blake’s hope was to reflect their love for travel, French culture, great food and their love for California. Although they are Texas natives now, they have fond memories of Carmel and the gorgeous landscapes of California so it was only fitting to host their French inspired, rustic wedding at Holman Ranch. Simone Lennon designed a super elegant event…and it was most definitely eye candy for us to photograph. From the bistro style candle light dinner to the romantic florals and seamless event, she’s a genius at what she does. I’m so thrilled to share their story with the Style Me Pretty world and hope their wedding inspires many more.

Featured! Modern Luxury Brides Magazine // Spring & Summer 2013

So thrilled to see some 2012 work published in the current issue of Modern Luxury Brides Magazine! I teamed up with Floral Theory to dream up a unique interpretation of the modern bouquet for a feature on wedding florals. And also, a special bonus…one of Sarah & Joshua’s photos was published in the real weddings section too. Always so fun to see my work in print, although I love the web so much…print is just something else.
