Holiday Mini Sessions!

Its that time of year again and I am excited to announce that I just added some dates in the calendar for Holiday Mini Sessions! Book a session just in time for the holiday season, because cards with photos are just so much better, in my opinion! If you’re interested, book as soon as possible, limited slots available and they book fast!! Please email me directly at info[at]delbarrmoradi.com or fill out the contact form here. Full session fee is required to book your time slot and slots are available on first come first serve basis. Not applicable for wedding or engagement photos. Mini Session rate allows for up to 5 people, additional fee for larger groups.

My little slice of Motherhood.

We welcomed our newest (and sweetest!) little addition to our family. Aria Brienz Moradi was born on July 20th and ever since we’ve hit the ground running. So many people ask me “what its like with two kids, now?” “how do you juggle work and life at home?” — well, all I can say is that its beautiful chaos. I wouldn’t trade this season of life for anything. Although there are times where I may be on the phone and I’ve got a baby screaming, a toddler in the middle of a tantrum and a pup at my feet begging to be let out. Those are the moments that I think my life couldn’t get any crazier but after that wave of madness passes Im reminded of just how insanely beautiful it is to be a mom. Its like another layer of responsibility but a welcomed one! A mother to two tiny humans and one little furry puppy is quite possibly the best thing that has ever happened to me. As a creative artist, I love my job, clients and industry so much — this journey has been unreal and I truly love what I get to do everyday. Ive been so blessed to find a career that makes me come alive creatively and as a mom, I think its beyond important to have that outlet for myself. But as time passes, I realize more and more that being a working mom is so much more than I bargained for. My hope is to pass on to my girls a love for creativity, independence and an unapologetic courage that can shatter stereotypes and boundaries. I hope they learn to run after the things that make them come alive and leave a lasting impact on the world around them. There are so many things I want to share with them as they grow up and this is only the beginning. Im thankful for you, my clients and friends who have followed along and continue to follow this crazy beautiful ride with me. Thanks for all the sweet cards, emails and texts — you all are the best. Cheers!!

Last month, I had the total honor of seeing Carlie & Gabe’s intimate vow renewal in the Spring Issue of Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine. Their full story and details are also featured on the Martha Stewart Weddings Blog. So many great people were involved in making this day visually stunning. However, the love this family has for one another is just so pure and genuine the beauty of this day really was all about these four. After 10 years of marriage, Carlie & Gabe wanted to celebrate and renew their vows with their kids, how sweet is that? I loved being able to photograph this day and share in such a special day.

Artist Spotlight: Shamina

I had the complete honor to sync up with Shamina, a local vocal artist who debuted her self titled album in 2014. We teamed up for a series of shoots starting with the cover for her single which was so much fun to dream up with her! We wanted to capture something playful yet refined, capturing her heart for the song. For this shoot we were able to explore and play outside and it was gorgeous out…I loved the simple styling too. Simple black dress and some cute floral crowns will do the trick! Cant wait to share her full album shoot real soon!

Featured! Martha Stewart Weddings // Vanessa & Joe, Carneros Inn

Vanessa and Joe are living the new american dream….two foodie entrepreneurs carving out a whole new industry right here in the bay area. Their story is not only inspiring but absolutely so much fun! Joe and Vanessa’s passion for food lead them to start Goldbely, a pretty rad concierge food service site that delivers some of the best foods (and desserts!) from all over the country right to your door. Of course, when it came time to plan their wedding, food was going to play a central role in all the details! Check out all their yummy food details here from their custom cookies, giant Momofuku cake, rice crispies and fried chicken. Martha Stewart Weddings did a fantastic job sharing their story and divulging even more details from their day, so be sure to check out their feature! Can we talk about Vanessa’s style for a quick second? Im pretty sure she wins for my favorite bridal style of the year. Vera Wang + Valentino and all that rad jewelry? I was in heaven, photographing a girl with style after my own heart. The wedding was unique from start to finish….from their morning ceremony, a musical march to the reception (so fun!!) and a picnic style lunch that did not disappoint. A big thanks to Martha Stewart Weddings for falling in love with Vanessa and Joe as much as I did!

FEATURED! // 100 Layer Cakelet, Shannon & Michael

Once in a while I get to photograph expectant mommas and I find it so special to document such a beautiful season in a woman’s life. Having been pregnant myself at one point, I know how incredible the process can be and the joy and anticipation that grows as the months roll by is indescribable! Shannon is a gorgeous momma inside and out and it was such an honor to photograph her and Michael. They are NYC natives but absolutely love the Northern Cali sun so we ventured off into the beautiful beaches of Monterey to capture a little bit of sand and a whole lot of light! There were so many favorites from this shoot but I’ll only post a few since you can see more of my favorites on 100 Layercakelet today!
