Its no secret that I love photographs but one thing that gives me a dose of #momguilt is not printing my photos as much as I need to. These days, I’m constantly shooting photos of the girls and their budding relationship or our weekend adventures and as a result I feel the desperate need to see these photos on our walls or in albums before I forget all about them. We can all agree, kids grow too fast and I get really sad when I see that an app on my phone is reminding me about what life was like a year ago (*cough* Timehop *cough). I want to see more of those moments on my walls, not just on my phone! SO…I’m making a decision to frame more photos, print more personal albums and pull the trigger on ordering prints (even if I don’t have the perfect plan for where each one will live). I don’t want to see my photos get lost on my camera roll anymore.
In honor of Father’s Day, I printed a photograph of Arash and the girls from our recent weekend trip to San Francisco. I absolutely love this photograph because its captures the three of them so authentically. (Look how Aria has her hand rested on Arash! I can’t even.) Makes my heart melt!
Im so thankful for Artifact Uprising who has made my #momguilt a little more bearable. I can order prints, albums, even a custom frame directly from the app on my phone or on my desktop. Its super easy to take advantage of all those photos we snap and make some beautiful printed art. For this photo of Arash and the girls, I chose Artifact Uprising’s 11×14 Gallery Frame in the Walnut finish. Im so happy with how it turned out because its the perfect addition to our home. The quality is exceptional and the printing is spot on!
For one week you can get 10% off your order, just in time for that Father’s Day inspired gift! Enter the code: BLGDMAU10 for 10% off site wide. Say no to that #momguilt and let’s start printing our sweetest memories!!

This bride and groom had serious style. The bride wore a Rosa Clara wedding dress that felt vintage, and contemporary, at the same time, with it’s delicate bow details and classic satin fabric. The groom was just as stylish, wearing a Burberry tuxedo jacket mixed with Paul Smith slacks and a vintage bow tie. The bridesmaids wore bright coral and carried a single peony stem instead of a traditional bouquet. The bride brought in more color with her bright pink bouquet with pops of orange by Dragonfly Floral. For the ceremony, the little one’s carried signs announcing the bride and sweeping views of Santa Rosa’s rolling hills served as the backdrop. For dinner, vintage cafe chairs and bright florals kept with couple’s wedding style. A petite ombre pink cake by Patisserie Angelica finished off the chic celebration.

Who doesn’t love a bright spring wedding? Katie & Kyle said, “I do,” at the height of spring at the stunning Holman Ranch in the Carmel Valley. Katie wore a stunning trumpet dress by Vera Wang and carried a bright bouquet with Juliet roses, peonies, anemones, and succulents. For the ceremony, floral designer Natalie Bowen Designs created a lush chair garland with pops of bright pink for the back of ceremony and then let the natural beauty of the location take center stage. For dinner, elegant long feasting tables were decorated with lush floral arrangements in glass and gold foiled containers. For the dance party, another eucalyptus garland decorated the entrance to the dance party. And a petite, feminine, ruffled cake by Patisserie Bechler finished out the couple’s celebrations. Congratulations to the happy couple, we loved capturing your day!

Its no secret that Im a big fan of all things paper and every Christmas season, my favorite thing to do is send out holiday cards. Family, friends and industry collaborators are on my list every year and I love to send them all a little snail mail. Good ol’ fashioned print, never gets old in my book! I absolutely love dreaming up new ideas every season, photographing and ordering our cards. As a mom and business owner, you can imagine my time is limited so it was a no-brainer to go with Minted for our cards this year. They are all about promoting the work of independent artists and designers from around the world. How amazing is that?! Coming from a graphic design background myself, I have a huge appreciation for good graphic design and minted.com does not dissapoint. Have you guys seen all their fab products and gift ideas?! Its hard to resist.
I thought it would be fun to share what we did for our cards this year…from gold foil to clean black & white, we did two different cards and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. There were so many great options to choose from and I chose the gold foil card for my business and a simple black and white for our family card. We wanted to focus the card design to feature the kiddos alone this year since the card is also acting as a birth announcement for Aria.
If you haven’t ordered cards yet, its not too late! FREE rush shipping is your best friend OR…how fun would New Years cards be? Check out Minted.com and take a peek through all the different designs. I love that by purchasing with Minted, we can support painters, designers, illustrators, stay-at-home moms and other independent designers from all over the world who are expressing their creative talent! Win, win!
Im so grateful for the year Ive had. 2015 truly has been a whirlwind at times but looking back, its been such a life changing year. I’ll be sharing more of a personal post later with updates on our growing family too. There’s so much cuteness to share! In the meantime, you can follow me on Instagram for the day to day updates! While I begin to look ahead, 2016 feels good…parts of it unknown and mysterious and other parts steady and strong. Im excited to meet and work with some great couples who will say ‘i do’ and start this crazy life journey together. Im blessed to document such an epic day. Arash and I shared our 7th wedding anniversary together in August and I still strongly believe that life is so much better together. Cheers to the journey ahead!
